Today on @TriumphantZoeCoaching #EntrepreneurFocus, meet @Cookie Jalaser who is the proud owner of @Women in Petroleum Consulting (Pty) Ltd and Ulwazi Fresh Produce (Pty) Ltd which offers Consulting and collaborating in the petroleum and related industries as well as the farming community.

1. Tell us about yourself?

My name is Cookie Jalaser
I am a seasoned player in the petroleum and related space, with over 20 years of experience, with over 10 years in aviation, and experience in fuels, aviation, lubricants, logistics, service stations, and other aspects of the industry.   

Am the founder and director of Women in Petroleum Consulting (Pty) Ltd (WiPC). We work as consultants in the petroleum sectors, in the SubSaharan Africa region. We collaborate with other industries example mining, logistics, procurement of fuel, etc in order to diversify the business.  

Together with the above, we created a partnership,  Ulwazi Fresh Produce, with an ex-colleague, in assisting community-based farming, also sharing our knowledge in basic education of managing their farms and growing fresh produce.
My strength is to assist and give back to the communities, utilising my knowledge and expertise.

Consulting and collaborating in the petroleum and related industries as well as the farming community.

4. What drives and motivates you in business?

My drive and motivation are offering my services to customers, peers, and farmers, and encouraging people to grow in the space they operate in.  Every day is a new challenge, embrace it and find solutions to live a better life.

5. What sets you apart from other entrepreneurs in your line of work?

I believe that I am dedicated and knowledgeable and am not shy to share that knowledge with anybody. My work ethic and relationships are key to any business. Not afraid to network, collaborate and ask questions.

   - how do you work around that? How do you overcome?

Price increases are a big challenge.  We overcome this by being transparent with whom we operate with.

10. Which clients would you like to work with or would be your dream client?

A dream client would be somebody who would benefit from my business and grow their business as well.  I would prefer an ideal client rather than a dream client.  An ideal client will take ownership and focus on the issues and is transparent with solutions that could be beneficial to both parties.
